Digestibility Groups
The digestibility of nutrients differs between animals, so it is useful to be able to create and utilise different digestibility tables that reflect these differences. In addition, different authorities publish their preferred tables of digestibility values, and it is useful to be able to compare the effects of using these different tables when formulating feeds based on the digestible amino acid requirements of poultry and pigs. WinFeed gives you the facility to create an unlimited number of digestibility tables so that you can exploit these differences.
Fields may be created in the database for as many digestibility groups as the user requires. These may be for poultry and pigs etc., but may also reflect more subtle and important differences such as the effect of different enzymes, or the differences between animals of different ages or stages of development (e.g. lipid digestibilities in young and adult chickens).
Only one digestibility group may be used for each feed formulation.
