Setting the dry matter nutrient

Under the Client Feeds tab, it is possible to formulate a feed on a dry matter basis. In addition there are various places in WinFeed where both ‘As-Is’ and dry matter values are displayed. In order for these to be calculated correctly, it is essential that the correct nutrient has been identified as representing the Dry Matter content of an ingredient. The current setting is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, as e.g. DM=dry matter. If the dry matter nutrient has not been set, then the value displayed will be DM= . To set or change the dry matter nutrient, click on the Options, WinFeed Settings menu, and choose it from the list that appears.
